Every year, Estonian supermarkets throw away over 7000 tonnes of food.
Yet the number of Estonians in need remains above 100,000.
Food banks, shelters and soup kitchens only reach 7-8% of these people.
Demand far outstrips supply.
 
How can we reduce retail food waste?
How can we make sure more surplus food reaches those who need it?
